The Big Four
“Temporal of a Distant Dream”

Summary: What would you normally do in any normal day when you’re bored? Go out, hang with friends, and maybe watch a movie, right? Well, it wasn’t my intention to get stuck in the world of my four favorite movies! This is my story. Though may sounding crazy, it felt so real.

Watch a movie.
Or be in one.

Chapter 1: You have got to be kidding me.

Alex’ POV

“Ugh! This is just not fair!”, I mumbled under my breath as I trekked down the street where I temporarily live. Ever since I moved her in Germany with my aunt and transferred to the same school aunt Shay attended since college. Things have not been so merciful for me. Here I am, on my third year of college, and I still can’t understand a full bloody sentence in German! I sighed. What did I expect?  I only know little since coming here four months ago.

I tugged my mint green scarf up. It was finally autumn and nearing winter. Aunt Shay was not kidding when she told me that it would get colder when autumn comes, along with winter. My god! The passing wins are cold! I started to jog and within a few minutes, I finally arrived home. It was a simple two story house, with two bedrooms, a kitchen and dining room, and living room. The house can fit two or three people in it.

Reaching in my left pocket, I pulled out the front door key and unlocked the door. I quickly walked inside, shut the door behind me before I turned on the thermostat. I embraced the more comfortable warm air inside the house as I placed my bag pack down a bit while removing my dark blue winter jacket and my scarf.

“What a long day.” Groaning, I picked up all of my things then went up stairs to my room. As I entered I randomly placed my bag on the floor and hanged my jacket and scarf on my coat rack. I finally walked to my bed and collapsed. I didn’t know how long I laid there. Perhaps ten to fifteen minutes. I turned and looked straight up at my light gray colored ceiling. I never bothered to turn on the lights. I sighed before getting up. My dark brown eyes caught the calendar in my nightstand then raised a brow.

I chuckled. “Man, I almost forgot that it’s Friday today. I can at least get some rest.” I managed to get up and head downstairs to the kitchen to fix myself up a snack. A grilled cheese sandwich with a thin slice of turkey meat with tomatoes, and a jalapeño pepper and a tall glass of chocolate milk. After my snack was done, I eyed it for a while. I was hesitant to eat it, but I shrugged it off and ate it in annoyance.

After I ate and left the dishes in the sink to be washed later, I hastily walked back to my room and looked at myself in my full length mirror. I’m wearing a thin dark gray sweater jacket, under that I wore a purple shirt, black jeans, and finally my one inch brown boots. My body structure is on the chubby side but not fat and thank goodness for my height of 5’7. My face, semi oval shaped with a slight fatness on my cheeks, that would be mistaken for baby fat. Almond shaped and brown colored eyes stared back at my reflection. And my brown hair has a natural messy look to it as it reaches my waist. As I stare at my reflection more. One word popped into my head.

“Unattractive.” I sighed sadly. Seriously, who would want anyone to come anywhere near me when I have hippo hips that has enough kick to hurt anyone for days?!

“No one…”

Oh, no. I’m tearing up again! I quickly wiped away my tears before aunt Shay gets home. I inhaled deeply, and exhaled all of my worries and thought the brighter side things.

The front door opened. “Alex, I’m home! Let’s start dinner, sweetie! I just got back from the grocery store!”, aunt Shay called from down stairs.

“Coming!” I then went downstairs to the kitchen and made dinner with my aunt.

10:37 AM, and I am preparing my lunch in the kitchen. It is Saturday and I have the house o myself as aunt Shay has gone to work at the Pharmaceutical, and her only day off is on Sunday’s.

When I finished eating my lunch, I cleaned around the house, fixed and cleaned my room, and did all the laundry. It was about 3:12 PM when I was done and I smelled. So I decided to take a quick shower and put on some warm enough clothes. I plopped down on the sofa in the living room and decided to watch some DVD’s. I got up and scanned the CD racks, and was about to give up since none of them interest me. That was when I caught something in the very right corner of the DVD cases. I grinned like a kid on Christmas. “No way! How to train your dragon, Tangled, Brave, and Rise of the guardians?” I laughed.

“Oh, god! I thought I’d have to wait until I get back to the Philippines to watch you guys again. Either that or go CD hunting or download you off the internet.” I hugged the CD’s. When I packed the things I needed, including my art stuff. It totally slipped my mind when bringing my movie CD’s.

“Oh, how I missed the taste of home. That’s it, I’m watching these! Movie marathon~!” I cheered as I placed down the CD’s before making my way to the kitchen to get some popcorn and some hot cocoa. Fifteen minutes later, I had my movie snacks ready, turned on the T.V. and turned on the CD player.

“Okay, where is that remote—AHA!”” Finally finding the CD players remote, I clicked the play button and waited for the movie to start. But it didn’t. The screen was all fuzzy.

“What in the world?” I pressed the pause button, it did nothing. Pressed the stop and off button, still the same results. Nothing. And the T.V. screen was still on static. I slumped in the sofa.

“I knew it was too good to be true…” I muttered.

I left the remote in the sofa and decided to unplug the T.V. and CD player. When I pulled the plugs, I never expected to get shocked, nor did an electric shock like that came from an appliance plug.

I yelped and stumbled back, and somehow I managed to hit my head on the thick wooden coffee table. My consciousness blinked in and out but darkness finally came over me.

Normal POV

Alex groaned as she lay there on the dew covered grassy ground. The brunette’s head throbbed as the sounds of war calls, explosion and fire were heard in the background. Sitting up and rubbing her head, she muttered. “Ugh, my head. I think I have a concussion. And why are the speakers this loud? Is auntie Shay watching a war movie or something?”

The female’s eyes were still closed when she asked herself those questions. As she was about to open her eyes, a flaming ball of fire crashed landed about fifteen feet from her. The brunette screamed as she jumped and hid behind the nearest boulder. Frantically breathing, Alex dared to look back up to where the flaming ball of doom landed and almost barbequed her. Raising a skeptical brow, she said, “What the heck?”

Another explosion occurred. This time here yes looked towards the direction it came from and gasped. Dragons! There were dragons attacking a village full of…Vikings?! Getting a discomforting knot in her stomach, Alex kept on watching in disbelief as dragons set the village on fire, the Vikings fighting back, and some other dragons were escaping with a few sheep's.

“Oh, sie haben mich verarchen.” (Oh, you have got to be kidding me.)
